General Practice
As surgeries know, QOF income is derived not only from the number of points a surgery achieves, but also from the value of the individual point. There being no maximum and equally no minimum value!
Where a surgery is below locality average income, it can be due to complex clinical coding issues. The result of this, in basic terms, can be that the surgery, while looking after the correct number of patients on any particular disease register, may not being financial rewarded for its work.
Vision in Primary Care works with the surgery to resolve these issues and maximise income by analyzing data and correcting codes, the latter working to protocols agreed with the surgery clinicians.
ViPC facilitators include Ex System Trainers and Practice Managers: They amass knowledge via user groups and best practice in the 60+ GP surgeries, Darzi Clinics, WiCs and PCTs we currently support.
We will almost certainly have a current customer within close geographic proximity for any GP or PM to contact by way of ‘live’ reference.
Please contact us to arrange a meet, where we will be pleased to discuss your surgery’s QOF financial analysis (based on 31 Mar 11).
