Prevalence
NHS Employers and the GPC announce agreement on changes to the GMS contract for 2009/10.
“Finally, the way that QOF payments are calculated will also be altered. In future this will increasingly reflect the prevalence of long term health conditions amongst local populations”.
ViPC’s support package is the same for all clinical systems. The lead consultant visits the surgery to agree and itemise a programme of data quality work and staff training, to bring the surgery’s figures up to, or above, National prevalence.
The surgeries then have an accredited lead from their clinical system assigned to them. This consultant will then visit, to work on the agreed programme, every three months until prevalence targets are achieved.
Surgeries also benefit from telephone, eMail, ‘Dial in’ and Website Blog support.
